Founded in 1936, Fatima Group is currently one of the largest business conglomerates in Pakistan. The company operates in several strategic sectors, including chemical fertilizer production, textiles, sugar industry, energy, packaging, mining, and trade. By the end of 2025, the company’s annual turnover reached USD 2 billion, while its net profit amounted to USD 1.5 billion. At present, the company owns 10 mineral fertilizer production plants and more than 70 warehouses across the country, playing a significant role in the development of Pakistan’s agriculture.
At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the diplomatic mission emphasized that Uzbekistan is becoming an increasingly attractive investment destination for Pakistani business circles. It was noted that in recent years, the volume of investments attracted from Pakistan has increased several times.
During the negotiations, concrete steps were outlined to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation with Fatima Group. In particular, prospects for implementing joint investment projects in areas such as pharmaceuticals, textiles, mining, and the chemical industry were discussed.
Ali Mukhtar stated that the company is interested in first conducting marketing research to enter the Uzbek market, followed by the establishment of a production facility.
It was also noted that company representatives visited Namangan region in 2023 and conducted monitoring studies to explore the feasibility of implementing a joint project. Currently, the implementation of this project remains a priority on the company’s agenda. In addition, negotiations are ongoing with the administration of Navoi region regarding the implementation of investment projects.
The parties exchanged views on establishing a high-tech pharmaceutical production facility in Uzbekistan, exporting the manufactured products to the markets of the Middle East and Gulf Arab countries, and implementing joint projects in the mining sector in both countries.
At the same time, a proposal to thoroughly explore the creation of large-scale production capacities in the chemical industry and the implementation of promising projects in the textile sector was also supported.
The parties agreed to organize an online meeting with the participation of relevant agencies and organizations to discuss the above-mentioned issues in detail, as well as to shape the agenda for negotiations ahead of the planned visit to Uzbekistan.
