Pakistan’s Leading Consortium to Invest in Uzbekistan’s Hospitality Industry

Uzbekistan’s Ambassador, Alisher Tukhtayev, held talks with Habib Khan, Chief Executive Officer of Khan International Investment Consortium.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Pakistani side was provided with a detailed overview of the economic reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years and their positive outcomes, the country’s favorable investment climate, the opportunities created for foreign investors, and Uzbekistan’s rich tourism potential.

According to Habib Khan, Khan International Investment Consortium has successfully operated not only in Pakistan but also in the United States, specializing in hotel management, hospitality services, and several other business sectors.

“We intend to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with major hotels in Uzbekistan and introduce the prestigious U.S.-based international hotel brand Best Western to your country’s market. The necessary authorization has already been obtained for the brand to operate in Uzbekistan,” he said.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on attracting investment to develop the hospitality industry in the Tashkent Region, implementing real estate and modern residential development projects, establishing cooperation with Uzvinosanoat-Holding, and exploring prospects for joint investment projects in Zaamin District of the Jizzakh Region.

Both sides emphasized that cooperation in these areas would further strengthen trade and economic ties between Uzbekistan and Pakistan while contributing to the creation of new jobs.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to organize a business mission of the Khan International Investment Consortium delegation to Uzbekistan in order to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the discussed investment opportunities and advance them to the implementation stage.

Khan International Investment Consortium is a family-owned business group operating in the fields of real estate, hospitality, electric vehicle manufacturing, energy, and construction. The consortium has implemented various business projects in the United States, the United Kingdom, China, and Pakistan, and currently manages more than 24 hotels.
