Meeting with the Ambassador of Switzerland to Uzbekistan
On November 18, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Madrakhimov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to Uzbekistan Konstantin Obolensky.
Current issues and prospects for the further development of political dialogue, trade, economic, investment, financial, technical, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, and interaction within international organizations were discussed. Plans for joint events for 2026 were considered.
Particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of joint measures to deepen relations agreed upon during negotiations between the heads of foreign affairs departments of the two countries in Bern on October 16 of this year.
As a result, agreements were reached to conduct a number of joint events, including inter-Ministry of Foreign Affairs political consultations, the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, “Days of the Swiss Economy in Uzbekistan”, as well as mutual visits of delegations.
