The renovated airport will have the most modern conditions
On June 18, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the progress of construction work at Tashkent-East Airport.
As the country develops sustainably and its international attractiveness increases, the intensity of foreign economic relations and the flow of investment increases. In these conditions, in Uzbekistan, priority attention is paid to the modernization of all areas of transport infrastructure as a key factor in further growth.
One of such strategic projects is the reconstruction of the Tashkent-Vostochny airport. It is designed to provide fast, safe and comfortable air service that meets high international standards, as well as to relieve congestion at the main international airport of the capital.
As part of the first stage, the 4-kilometer long runway complex has been completely renovated, which allows receiving aircraft of all classes, including the heaviest.
Currently, the construction of two terminals is ongoing - for receiving official delegations and maintenance of business aviation, as well as the apron and hangar facilities.
The airport will be equipped with modern radio engineering and meteorological equipment of category III-A according to ICAO standards, which will ensure reliable takeoff and landing operations even in adverse weather conditions.
In closed hangars, all the necessary conditions are created for safe and high-quality maintenance and storage of aircraft.
Due to its advantageous location, the new airport will become an important transport hub for Tashkent and the city of New Tashkent, and will also serve as an additional incentive for the development of the tourism industry of the Tashkent region. Most importantly, opportunities for international visits and business trips will expand, and conditions for receiving foreign investors will improve. As a result, economic activity will increase, the service sector will become more active, new jobs will be created, and the investment attractiveness of our country will significantly increase.
The head of state got acquainted with the technical characteristics of the project, architectural solutions of the terminals and gave specific instructions to speed up construction work and improve the level of service.
