On October 28, the official welcoming ceremony of the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, who is making an official visit to our country, took place at the Kuksaroy residence.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly welcomed the distinguished guest and invited him to the podium.

– Your official visit in the year of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations is a historical event. In Uzbekistan, Serbia is viewed with great sympathy. Our peoples are linked by strong bonds of friendship and a similar mentality, noted the President of Uzbekistan.
Priority attention is paid to increasing trade turnover, preparing a full-scale cooperation program in such key sectors as mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, chemical industry, information technology and digitalization, agriculture, tourism and many others.
The importance of developing new transport routes "Central Asia - the Balkans", including within the Trans-Caspian Corridor, was noted.
In order to promote the economic agenda of cooperation, an agreement was reached to hold the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission in the city of Tashkent next year.
Issues of interaction in the field of organized labor migration, cultural, humanitarian and educational spheres.
The leaders also exchanged views on current issues of the regional and international agenda.

– Inter-Ministry of Foreign Affairs Cooperation Program for 2026-2027;
– Memorandum of cooperation in the field of labor migration;
– Protocol on cooperation in the field of sports and physical culture;
– Agreement on establishing partnership relations between the cities of Tashkent and Belgrade.

At the Alley of Honored Guests, Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Aleksandar Vucic planted a tree as a sign of commitment to strengthening relations of friendship and partnership between the two countries and peoples, their mutual desire to open a new page in the history of bilateral relations.
