Uzbek-Paraguayan relations have been brought to a new stage of development
Negotiations between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Paraguay Santiago Pena took place at the Kuksaroy residence with the participation of officials delegations.
The prospects for further strengthening practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Paraguay were considered.
Having warmly welcomed the head of Paraguay, the leader of Uzbekistan emphasized that this visit is of historical significance, since it is the first visit of the President of a Latin American state to Uzbekistan. It was noted that the current summit will open a new stage in the development of friendly relations between the two countries.
During the negotiations, priority areas for expanding bilateral cooperation, including trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, educational and other areas were discussed.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of increasing the volume of mutual trade, developing business contacts, implementing joint projects in the fields of agriculture, food and chemical industry, digitalization, tourism and sports.
An exchange of views also took place on current issues of the international and regional agenda.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to further develop political dialogue and deepen practical cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
