Direct Flights to Be Launched Between Tashkent and Karachi

One of Uzbekistan’s private airlines, Centrum Air, will begin operating direct scheduled flights between Tashkent and Karachi starting from September 3 of this year.

This initiative has been realized through the effective cooperation and consistent efforts of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan, as well as the relevant aviation and transport authorities of both countries.

The new flights will operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. The direct Tashkent–Karachi–Tashkent service will further strengthen transport links between our countries and make travel significantly more convenient and faster for businesspeople, tourists, students, and pilgrims.

Moreover, this route has the potential to become an important transportation corridor connecting not only Uzbekistan but also the entire Central Asian region with Karachi, Pakistan’s major port city.

It is worth noting that, at present, a total of six scheduled flights per week are operated between the two countries. Of these, four weekly flights serve the Tashkent–Lahore route, while two weekly flights operate on the Islamabad–Tashkent route.
