Joint press release of the Second Meeting of the Strategic Dialogue between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the People's Republic of China
At the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Wang Yi visited Uzbekistan from November 20 to 21 2025 and took part in the second Strategic Dialogue of the heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries.
The parties noted the progressive strengthening of the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China in the new era, based on mutual respect and taking into account each other’s interests, will support closer cooperation in promoting the construction of a community of common destiny.
The active dynamics of mutual visits and contacts at all levels were emphasized, which contributes to the further strengthening of interstate cooperation on key issues of the bilateral and international agenda.
The parties confirmed their strong mutual support on issues affecting their key interests.
The Chinese side noted the continued support of the chosen one Uzbekistan’s own path of national development, and expressed its readiness to assist in the steady advancement of the main programs of socio-economic reforms within the framework of the Strategy of New Uzbekistan.
The Uzbek side firmly supports the principle of “one China”, opposes any form of “Taiwan independence”, firmly supports all efforts of the PRC government to implement the reunification of China.
The Chinese side highly noted that the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, held on November 15-16 in Tashkent, made an important contribution to the further development of regional cooperation, deepening mutual trust and promoting stability and prosperity in the region.
The Uzbek side highly appreciates the successful holding of the IV Plenum of the 20th CPC Central Committee, believing that this important meeting will be a further incentive for China's high-quality development, providing the countries of the world with opportunities for joint development and bringing more certainty and positive energy to the world.
The parties highly appreciate the importance of the initiative to jointly build the "One Belt and One" paths" for the development of international cooperation in the common interests of security, development and prosperity.
The Uzbek side welcomed and expressed its readiness to actively cooperate within the framework of the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative and the Global Governance Initiative put forward by China.
The parties emphasized with satisfaction the steady growth of trade, increased investment interaction, implementation of joint projects in the industrial, transport and logistics, energy and agricultural sectors.
The Parties express their readiness to further promote cooperation in the field of green mineral resources, especially in the field of green development along the entire mineral extraction chain.
The Parties will make efforts to intensify cultural and humanitarian cooperation, helping to strengthen ties between peoples Uzbekistan and China.
An agreement was reached to continue to strengthen mutual support and cooperation in multilateral mechanisms such as the UN, SCO, the Central Asia - China format, BRICS, etc.
The results of the Second Strategic Dialogue between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the People's Republic of China were also highly appreciated, it was emphasized that this mechanism has become a new platform for deepening strategic interaction and comprehensive cooperation in priority areas, which will further promote regional and international peace, cause greater mutual understanding and strengthen mutual trust.
