On June 30, 2026, a roundtable dedicated to the trade, economic, and investment opportunities of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held in Muscat.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, around 30 leading companies, as well as heads of other organizations.
Remarks were delivered by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloyev, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman Khalifa al-Harithi, and Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Muscat Abdusalom Khatamov.
Concrete proposals were put forward to expand trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the two countries.
A presentation was also delivered on the investment and tourism potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the incentives and opportunities created in the country for foreign investors.
As part of the roundtable, Siham Al Harthy, Chairperson of the Tourism Committee of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Head of Siham Development and Investment, was presented with the Certificate of Tourism Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman.
