Plans to provide the economy and population with coal in the autumn-winter period were considered
In the autumn-winter period of 2024-2025, almost 8.7 million tons of coal were mined and supplied to thermal power plants, budgetary organizations, and the population.
The presentation noted that it is planned to produce 10 million tons of coal in the autumn-winter season of 2025-2026. For this purpose, the material and technical base of the enterprises of the Uzbekkumir joint stock company has been strengthened, and conditions have been created for the activities of additional producers in the industry.
The President gave instructions to ensure a guaranteed supply of coal to the population throughout the season. The importance of modernizing enterprises and commissioning new production capacities, reducing production costs through the development of market principles and competition in the industry was noted.
The presentation also addressed issues of accelerating the implementation of new investment projects in the uranium industry, expanding the volume of geological exploration and introducing modern technologies.
