The progress of the population and agricultural census was reviewed
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was reported on the progress of work on organizing and conducting the population and agricultural census.
This event is of key importance for scientifically based planning of demographic processes, regional development, labor resources and social infrastructure of the country. The census process is carried out in accordance with international standards using modern digital solutions.
The census is carried out from January 15 to February 28 this year in two stages. As part of the first stage, which will last from January 15 to 31, citizens can take part in the census through a special information system. In the second stage, from February 4 to 28, employees of the “makhalla seven” will begin door-to-door visits and fill out questionnaires using tablets.
The online census is carried out on the census.stat.uz portal with identification through the OneID system. All data is monitored based on a geographic information system. For these purposes, geolocations of more than 7.6 million households and residential properties have been generated across the republic, special monitoring dashboards have been developed that allow tracking the progress of processes in real time.
All information provided by citizens is protected in accordance with legal requirements, personal data is confidential and is used exclusively for statistical purposes.
14 have been created to carry out events at a high organizational level regional and 208 district and city headquarters. About 60 thousand census takers were trained. In particular, 54 thousand representatives of the “mahalla seven”, 2.6 thousand reserve employees and 4 thousand members of territorial headquarters were involved in the process. In addition, 480 trainers from ministries and departments, as well as 3,200 volunteers from higher educational institutions were trained.
Particular attention was paid to informing the population. In particular, 110 explanatory videos and 600 television stories were prepared. 6.3 thousand were published on social networks, over 23 thousand information materials were posted in crowded places and public transport.
As noted, at the moment, a census of 2.48 million households, as well as 31 thousand farms and agricultural enterprises, has been carried out through a special portal.
The head of our state noted the need for high-quality implementation of population and agricultural census activities, ensuring the reliability of data and the widespread use of the information received in developing and making decisions.
