The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan discussed issues of further expansion of strategic partnership
On September 22, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The head of our state warmly congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on his birthday, wishing him good health and prosperity, as well as peace and prosperity to the brotherly Turkmen people.
Current issues of further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Turkmen relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership were considered.
The intensive political dialogue and fruitful interdepartmental contacts were noted with deep satisfaction.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of increasing trade turnover and promoting cooperation projects in industry and energy. The construction of the Shavat-Dashoguz trade zone is being completed. It is planned to hold the Forum of Regions, exhibitions, Days of Culture and Cinema of Turkmenistan in Uzbekistan.
Current aspects of the regional agenda and the schedule of upcoming events at the highest level were also considered.
At the end of the conversation, the head of our state sincerely congratulated the President and people of Turkmenistan on the upcoming Independence Day of the country.
