The President of Uzbekistan received the Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received on November 12 the Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States Binali Yildirim, who arrived in our country to participate in the International Forum on Multimodal transportation.
At the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes to the head of our state from the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Issues of further expansion of cooperation within the Organization were considered, taking into account the increasing role and active participation of the Council in the coordination and promotion of multilateral initiatives.
Special attention was paid to the practical implementation of the strategic proposals put forward by Uzbekistan at the events held this year summits of the Organization of Turkic States in Budapest and Gabala.
The President of our country proposed to develop a “road map” to strengthen the institutional capacity of the Council of Elders, as well as promote joint projects aimed at preserving national traditions, spiritual heritage and cultural unity of the Turkic peoples.
