The President of Uzbekistan visited the international exhibition "INNOPROM"
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the site of the fifth International Industrial Exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia", which began work today in the city of Tashkent.
The forum is being held at the Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan exhibition complex. The total exhibition area exceeds 18 thousand square meters. More than 10 thousand delegates from Russia, neighboring countries of Central Asia, China, India and other countries are participating.
The exhibition presents technological solutions, modern equipment and finished industrial products of leading enterprises in the mechanical engineering, electrical, metallurgical, chemical industries, transport sector, construction industry, IT and other industries.
During inspection of pavilions and exhibitions, the head of our state especially noted the great potential of economic partnership and opportunities for generating business ideas.
Confidence was expressed that the forum will give impetus to the promotion of new large-scale projects, will contribute to the development of long-term partnerships, and the expansion of interregional cooperation.
On the sidelines of the event, the President of Uzbekistan held meetings with the Russian delegation in headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.
The head of the Russian delegation conveyed greetings and best wishes to the head of our state from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The issues of practical implementation of the agreements and agreements adopted following the state visit of the President of Russia to Uzbekistan were considered in May last year.
The dynamics of trade turnover growth continues, important cooperation projects are being implemented, including with the active involvement of the regions of the two countries.

During a conversation with the General Director of the State Corporation "Rosatom" Alexei Likhachev, the dynamic development of cooperation in the field of peaceful nuclear energy was noted.
Particular attention was paid to the development of cooperation in the field of application of nuclear technologies in agriculture and medicine, as well as personnel training on the basis of the MEPhI branch in the city of Tashkent.
The leader of our country took part in the round table, during which the heads of regions and leading companies of the two countries presented specific plans for the implementation of cooperation projects.
