The President of Uzbekistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized the high dynamics of bilateral partnership
On December 29, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov
At the beginning of the conversation, the leaders cordially congratulated each other on the upcoming New Year, sincerely wishing the fraternal peoples of the two countries peace, well-being and prosperity. The head of our state also conveyed warm congratulations to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Current issues of further development of Uzbek-Turkmen relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership were considered in the context of agreements reached at the highest level.
Active contacts at all levels were noted with satisfaction. The volumes of mutual trade turnover and cargo transportation are growing dynamically. Cooperation is expanding in the fields of energy, industry, agriculture, water management, and transport. The launch of the Shavat-Dashoguz border trade zone took place. Interregional, business, cultural and humanitarian exchanges have intensified.
There was also an exchange of views on key issues of regional interaction.
The head of our state separately emphasized the successful holding of major summits in Avaza and the Forum in Ashgabat in connection with the 30th anniversary of the neutrality of Turkmenistan and the “International Year of Peace and trust."
The schedule of meetings for the coming year was reviewed, and an agreement was reached to continue jointly holding international and regional events.
