As a symbol of eternal friendship and cultural and historical closeness between the two countries and peoples, Gen Nakagawa announced the decision of the mayor's office to name one of the new Nara parks in honor of the city of Samarkand.
During the conversation, the need was also emphasized active promotion of trade, economic and investment ties between the two sister cities, implementation of joint cooperation projects in such areas as agriculture, tourism, textiles, transport, logistics and urban planning.
