The President got acquainted with the creative work in the mahalla
During a trip to the Syrdarya region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the creative work carried out in the Buston mahalla of the city of Gulistan.
Buston Mahalla has become well-appointed this year. All apartment buildings were renovated, and a new building of the mahalla center was put into operation.
The President first held a dialogue here with mahalla activists, veterans and youth. At the meeting, it was emphasized that the results of reforms aimed at solving problems at the grassroots level, improving mahallas and improving the living conditions of the population are reflected in the Syrdarya region.
- Mahalla is the face of society. All changes in the country first of all manifest themselves here. We have created a system in which the solution to many issues that were previously considered serious is today located directly in the mahalla itself. We will continue to strengthen this institution,” the President noted.
In order to improve heat supply, a modern boiler house was built at a cost of 18 billion soums, and 3.3 kilometers of heating networks were laid.
23 individual heating points were installed in apartment buildings, which made it possible to organize a closed heating system. Using local budget funds, the internal heating systems of 20 high-rise buildings, which have 800 apartments, have been restored. The preschool is provided with centralized heating and hot water supply.
The newly built boiler house will save 144 thousand kilowatt-hours of electricity and 627 thousand cubic meters of natural gas.
The President gave the necessary instructions to continue work aimed at creating comfortable living conditions for residents of multi-storey buildings, using modern technologies in the construction and operation of boiler houses, and attracting qualified specialists.
Here a conversation took place with representatives of the “seven” and the older generation about the changes taking place in the life of the mahalla and the region.
Based on the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the development of infrastructure in the Syrdarya region, an address list has been formed in the region, covering 215 multi-storey buildings. As part of this program, work is underway to repair the roofs and facades of houses, improve heat supply, utilities and landscaping.
