President Shavkat Mirziyoyev calls for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation with Jordan

On July 6, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by Ayman Hussein Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

At the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan to the President of Uzbekistan.

The meeting addressed current issues related to expanding multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Jordan.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the fruitful high-level talks held in Samarkand last year, which opened a new chapter in the history of bilateral relations.

As part of the agreements reached, inter-parliamentary friendship groups have been established this year, the first meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission has been held, a Business Council has been established, and direct air services have been launched.

Particular attention was given to further deepening political dialogue and promoting joint projects and programs in the trade, economic, investment, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

The parties also exchanged views on current international and regional issues.
