The Prime Minister of Pakistan will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan
At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif will visit our country on February 25-26 with an official visit.
The agenda of the upcoming high-level negotiations includes issues of further development and expansion of Uzbek-Pakistan relations of strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation.
The focus will be on joint plans to increase the volume of mutual trade turnover, strengthen transport connectivity and unlock transit potential, promote cooperation projects in the region light and leather industries, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering and other sectors of the economy.
Issues of enhancing cultural, humanitarian and tourist ties will also be considered. There will be an exchange of views on the current international and regional agenda.
Following the summit, it is planned to adopt a Joint Declaration and a number of bilateral documents.
As part of the business program of the visit, the leaders will also take part in a joint Uzbek-Pakistan business forum.
