Information about major projects in the field of transport is provided
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was reported on the implementation of major projects in the field of transport.
With the development of the economy and the acceleration of the pace life, the need for transport communications is also increasing. It is expected that by 2030, passenger traffic through Tashkent will increase to 15 million people. However, the existing airport in the capital does not have the necessary capacity and, being located within the city, cannot be expanded.
In this regard, it is planned to build a new international airport in the Tashkent region. Currently, proposals from foreign companies are being considered within the framework of a private partnership mechanism.
At the presentation, the responsible persons presented detailed information on all aspects of this large-scale project.
In recent years, investments in road infrastructure have also been significantly increased, and new facilities are being actively built. In order to relieve traffic flows, projects of alternative routes are being developed. For this purpose, a new version of the Law “On Highways” has been prepared, aimed at creating a favorable investment environment.
Based on this, companies from a number of countries have shown interest in the project for the construction of an alternative expressway between Tashkent and Samarkand.
Responsible persons reported on the results of negotiations and proposals received.
The head of state emphasized the need for careful study of these strategically important infrastructure facilities and the transition to the practical implementation of projects as soon as possible.
