To the winners, prize-winners and all participants of the Presidential Olympiad games
My dear children!
Dear parents, teachers and mentors!
I sincerely congratulate all of you on your successful participation in the games of the Presidential Olympics, which has become an unforgettable event in the life of our country.
Today we can rightfully and with deep satisfaction say that thanks to the worthy participation of about 3 thousand people like you, the strongest young athletes, winners and prize-winners of the qualifying stages of competitions among over 100 thousand boys and girls, these games have formed into a unique sports system Uzbekistan.
Vivid evidence of this was the victories and records achieved during the exciting and uncompromising competitions that took place about ten days.
The results of our weightlifters Shakhnoza Khaidarova, Mokhinur Esonboeva, track and field athlete Sadafbonu Nusratulloeva, are especially admirable. who updated the records of Uzbekistan, 17-year-old Kamariddin Khudoyberganov, who defeated the current champions of Asia and the world in Greco-Roman wrestling, taekwondo athletes Komila Sultanova, Umarali Abdujabborov, Miraslava Omelchenko, who defeated the national champions and rose to the highest step of the podium.
Another important fact: the winners and prize-winners of this Olympics were 23 young men and women who demonstrated their abilities in the system of the Olympics of five initiatives, which started four years ago.
All this confirms that the Presidential Olympics has become a very important competition for our youth and has already begun to create its own glorious traditions.
I am convinced that our children, who took their first steps into the world of sports in their native mahalla and today confidently competed for the honor of their region, tomorrow will glorify our Motherland on world stages.
Dear athletes!
We watched your competitions with great interest and excitement along with everyone compatriots. Our hearts are filled with joy and pride that the Olympic reserve being formed in New Uzbekistan has such high potential.
Particularly welcoming the winners and medalists, their parents and coaches, I would also like to note that just participation in such competitions is great happiness and great success. After all, these games, instilling in you the Olympic spirit and Olympic values, will serve as a great school of excellence on the way to world arenas.
We will undoubtedly improve this system, and from next year we will include aquatic sports, cycling, triathlon, fencing and team games. At each stage of the Olympics, international sports criteria will be fully implemented; to train highly professional athletes, we will establish a system of training coaches based on modern methodology and approaches. Also, for an open and transparent assessment of the results of competitions, the qualifications of judges will be improved, conditions in sports schools and clubs will be improved, based on the types of sports.
I am confident that you will also take a worthy part in this work with your practical proposals, knowledge and experience acquired at the current Olympics.
I take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to the leaders and officials of the regions concerned ministries and departments, sports federations, teams of higher educational institutions, technical colleges and schools, who organized the qualifying and final stages at a high level, active volunteers, sports fans, all our multinational people who supported the youth.
My dear children, today you have achieved great victories.
I wish you all even brighter achievements in the future.
Never stop there, boldly move forward to new heights!
Shavkat Mirziyoyev,
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan
