Pakistani company to explore opportunities for developing livestock projects in Karakalpakstan
During a working visit to Pakistan's Punjab province, Uzbek delegation led by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan Farkhod Ermanov and Ambassador Alisher Tukhtaev held talks with Ali Raza Cheema, Managing Director of “SK Livestock Foods”.

During the meeting, parties discussed issues of developing Karakalpakstan's livestock industry in accordance with modern requirements, attracting foreign direct investment, introducing advanced technologies and managerial expertise, as well as implementing joint projects for the production of value-added meat products.
Pakistani side was presented with detailed information regarding the livestock potential of Karakalpakstan, its natural resources, the investment climate, as well as the favorable conditions and state support measures established for the development of the sector.
In addition, proposals were put forward for creating a modern livestock complex and a meat processing enterprise in Karakalpakstan, importing pedigree cattle, breeding highly productive breeds, improving selective breeding work, strengthening the fodder base and introducing modern technologies into the industry.
Management of “SK Livestock Foods” highly appreciated the proposed initiatives for developing the livestock sector in Karakalpakstan and expressed interest in their comprehensive, practical study, as well as in establishing mutually beneficial cooperation.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize a working visit of the “SK Livestock Foods” management to Karakalpakstan in July of this year. Within the framework of the visit, it is planned to study promising investment projects on-site, continue negotiations and determine specific areas for further cooperation.
