Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Alisher Tukhtaev held talks with Akbar Shafik, head of Pakistan’s «IMARAT Group».
The meeting was organised to ensure the implementation of the tasks set by the President of Uzbekistan during an open dialogue with investors and entrepreneurs on accelerating construction and the implementation of the New Tashkent project, as well as to attract leading Pakistani development companies to participate in this initiative.
At the outset of the meeting, diplomats delivered a presentation on the New Tashkent project. The presentation provided detailed information about the concept and key objectives of the new city, incentives offered to foreign investors, and mechanisms designed to support their activities.
The parties then discussed opportunities for «IMARAT Group» to participate in major real estate and integrated development investment projects in Uzbekistan, particularly in the territory of New Tashkent.
In particular, the Pakistani investor was invited to implement a multifunctional development project in the area, encompassing modern residential complexes, Grade A office spaces, retail and food service facilities, hotels and conference centres, as well as modern public spaces.
«IMARAT Group’s» experience in introducing digital technologies into the real estate sector was also highlighted as a promising area for cooperation.
In this regard, the company was invited to explore opportunities not only to implement the development project but also to introduce modern solutions in New Tashkent in the areas of property management, sales, facility management, digital customer services and PropTech technologies.
“The progress Uzbekistan has achieved in urban development in recent years is truly impressive to us,” said Akbar Shafik. “We are confident that the New Tashkent project is one of the key initiatives that will shape Uzbekistan’s future development. This is why we have become interested in participating in this mega-project. As a first step, let us visit Uzbekistan, familiarise ourselves in detail with the New Tashkent project and then determine the next steps.”
Following the discussions, the parties agreed to organise a visit to Uzbekistan by an «IMARAT Group» delegation and to move from preliminary discussions towards developing a concrete investment concept.
«IMARAT Group» is one of Pakistan’s major business groups operating in the real estate, property development and construction sectors. Its activities bring together various areas within a unified ecosystem, including real estate development, architecture and design, hospitality, construction materials, property sales and management, as well as digital real estate technologies.
The Group is currently implementing a number of projects in Pakistan involving the construction of multifunctional complexes, residential buildings, shopping centres, hotels, office buildings and other commercial properties.
