«Pakistan–Uzbekistan Business Exchange – 2027» Initiative Presented in Islamabad

The «SES Diplomatic Network» traditionally brings together representatives of the diplomatic community, members of government and parliament, business and industry leaders, trade organizations, academic circles, and professionals from various sectors on a single platform.
This year’s forum was attended by members of the Pakistani government and parliament, ambassadors of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, the Republic of South Africa, Sudan and Iran, as well as representatives of the United Nations and other international organizations and members of the business community.
During the event, the «Pakistan–Uzbekistan Business Exchange – 2027» project was presented, aimed at further developing trade, economic and business ties between Uzbekistan and Pakistan. The initiative envisages expanding business-to-business (B2B) contacts between the business communities of the two countries, organizing reciprocal business delegations, promoting trade and investment opportunities, and strengthening direct cooperation between chambers of commerce and industry and other relevant institutions.
In his address, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Alisher Tukhtaev expressed his support for launching the «Pakistan–Uzbekistan Business Exchange – 2027» project. It was noted that the initiative is expected to become a practical mechanism for organizing business delegations, facilitating direct B2B meetings between business representatives, establishing cooperation with chambers of commerce and industry and investment institutions, identifying investment projects and joint ventures, and strengthening ties between entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
– There is considerable potential to further accelerate trade, economic and investment cooperation between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, – the Uzbek official stated. – In particular, textiles, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, agriculture and food processing, leather goods and sporting equipment, construction materials, steel and metallurgy, mining and geology, the chemical industry, renewable energy, information technology, logistics, tourism and real estate are among the key areas and priority sectors for cooperation. Improving infrastructure connectivity and regional transport corridors between Central and South Asia is also of great importance.
Furthermore, during the presentation, it was emphasized that the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan stands ready to facilitate the establishment of contacts with relevant ministries, investment institutions, chambers of commerce and industry, regional administrations and Uzbek companies, as well as to provide practical assistance in organizing visits by Pakistani business delegations to Uzbekistan.
At the conclusion of the event, the participants agreed to further intensify regular contacts between the chambers of commerce and industry of Uzbekistan and Pakistan and representatives of the private sector, identify promising areas for cooperation, and advance specific business projects and initiatives towards practical implementation.
