On August 18, in Tehran, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloyev met with Farzaneh Sadegh, Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for developing Uzbekistan-Iran cooperation in the transport and transit sector.
Particular attention was paid to further expanding transport and transit links, developing international transport corridors, improving the efficiency of logistics routes, as well as creating favorable conditions for increasing the volume of freight transportation between the two countries.
The sides also discussed prospects for enhancing cooperation between the relevant agencies and implementing joint projects in the transport and logistics sector.
