The leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia discussed current issues of practical interaction
During a telephone conversation on May 3, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin discussed topical issues of further development and strengthening Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance.
The results of the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of Russia to Uzbekistan in May last year were considered.
The importance of taking coordinated measures aimed at maintaining the dynamics of mutual trade turnover and accelerating cooperation projects in priority sectors of the economy, continuation of active contacts at the regional and business level.
In this context, the fruitful results of past business events in the city of Tashkent on the sidelines of the fifth International Industrial Exhibition “Innoprom. Central Asia."
The expanding humanitarian interaction was noted with satisfaction, primarily in the field of culture, art, science and education, sports and tourism.
The leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia also exchanged views on issues of the international agenda and discussed the schedule of upcoming meetings.
