The President of Uzbekistan sincerely congratulated Pakistan on its upcoming chairmanship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
It was noted that the historic visit to Islamabad in February this year and the high-level meetings brought relations between the two countries to a qualitatively new level.
At the meeting, views were exchanged on expanding trade, economic, investment, transport and logistics cooperation.
Particular attention was also paid to developing interregional cooperation and humanitarian ties. In particular, preparations are underway to hold the Forum of Regions in Khiva this year, while Uzbek Culture and Cinema Days are planned in Pakistan.
An agreement was reached to adopt a joint roadmap to accelerate the implementation of projects across the textile, medical, pharmaceutical, and agricultural sectors and other priority areas.
