President of Uzbekistan holds telephone conversation with Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
On March 29, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
At the beginning of the conversation, the leaders warmly exchanged congratulations on the recent holiday of Ramadan Hayit – Eid al-Fitr.
The parties expressed serious concern over the situation in the Middle East and the growing tensions in the region.
It was emphasized that preventing further escalation and achieving a full settlement serve not only the interests of the states of the region but also the goals of ensuring global stability.
The Head of State noted that, in these challenging times, Uzbekistan stands in solidarity with the leadership and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia and expressed full support for the Kingdom’s balanced and prudent course.
The President of Uzbekistan also conveyed special appreciation to His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince for their practical support and for the favorable conditions created for the citizens of Uzbekistan currently performing the Umrah pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
In turn, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud stated that he highly values the sincere goodwill and friendly support expressed by the President of Uzbekistan. The parties agreed to intensify high-level contacts and to pursue coordinated joint efforts to elevate bilateral and multilateral relations to a new level.
