On April 9, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov had a phone conversation with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Senator of Pakistan.
During the conversation, the Foreign Minister reiterated that Uzbekistan highly appreciates the efforts of Pakistan’s leadership and conveyed full support for initiatives undertaken by Islamabad in pursuit of peace and stability, including efforts aimed at securing the initial two-week ceasefire.
Hope was expressed that continued diplomatic engagement and constructive efforts will contribute to lasting peace and stability in the region and beyond.
