On July 1, 2026, the third round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Norway was held in Tashkent.
The Uzbek delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Muzaffar Madrakhimov, while the Norwegian delegation was led by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Eivind Vad Petersson.
During the consultations, the parties discussed the development of bilateral relations in the political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian, as well as other areas of mutual interest.
Particular attention was paid to expanding trade and investment cooperation, including the exchange of visits between the relevant ministries and companies of the two countries.
The sides also exchanged views on current international and regional issues.
At the conclusion of the consultations, the parties agreed to maintain a regular dialogue with a view to further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
