On June 3, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov had a phone conversation with Jeenbek Kulubaev, Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic.
At the outset of the discussion, congratulations were extended to Kyrgyzstan on its election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2027–2028 term. It was emphasized that this historic achievement reflects Kyrgyzstan’s growing international standing and serves as a recognition of its active contributions to multilateral diplomacy.
The sides noted with satisfaction the current high level of friendship, good-neighborliness, and comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. They discussed the implementation of the priorities set by the Heads of State, as well as the further expansion of cooperation in trade and economic affairs, transport and connectivity, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
