Agreement on the Employment of Family Members of Official Personnel Signed between Uzbekistan and the United States
On October 19, in Samarkand, on the sidelines of the “C5+1” Ministerial Meeting, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Muzaffarbek Madrakhimov and U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Samir Paul Kapur signed the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the United States of America on the Employment of Family Members of Official Personnel.
On October 19, in Samarkand, on the sidelines of the “C5+1” Ministerial Meeting, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Muzaffarbek Madrakhimov and U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Samir Paul Kapur signed the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the United States of America on the Employment of Family Members of Official Personnel.
The Agreement enables family members of diplomatic and other mission personnel to engage in employment in the territory of the receiving state on a reciprocal basis and in accordance with its legislation.
The Agreement will help improve the socio-economic conditions of the families of diplomatic personnel serving abroad and strengthen the treaty and legal framework for bilateral cooperation.
