The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Madrakhimov today met with the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Ian Bratu.
During the meeting, it was noted that in recent years, Uzbekistan’s cooperation with the OSCE and its institutions, in particular with the Office of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, has reached a qualitatively new level. The prospects for further expansion of interaction in areas of mutual interest were discussed.
The parties expressed their readiness to implement joint projects, including improving media literacy, professional skills of journalists and press secretaries of government agencies of the republic by organizing various trainings and educational courses with the involvement of foreign specialists and experts.
During the visit, OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Jan Bratu will take part in the 25th Central Asian Media Conference “Ensuring Media Viability for an Informed and Sustainable Society”, which will be held on November 13-14 in Tashkent.
