There are more high-tech enterprises in Syrdarya
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Invest Asia enterprise operating in the Syrdarya free economic zone.
The company is one of the leaders in Central Asia in the production of packaging products. It currently accounts for 60 percent of polypropylene bags and flexible containers, as well as 40 percent of stretch film in the domestic market.
The complex was built on an area of 60 hectares, creating about 2.5 thousand jobs.
Packaging products are necessary for many industries - from the food industry to pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, construction and household chemicals. Its quality directly affects the safe storage, transportation and timely delivery of products to the market. Therefore, the domestic production of such products reduces import dependence, ensures the stability of the domestic market and significantly reduces the costs of manufacturers.
Another important feature of the Invest Asia enterprise is that it is the only place in the country where bioaxially oriented polypropylene film is produced. Distinguished by its strength and lightness, this packaging material has gained popularity in its segment.
For ten months of this year, the company produced products worth 1.9 trillion soums, exports amounted to $23 million. Products are manufactured using high-tech equipment produced in countries such as Austria, Germany, Italy, China and the USA.
The President got acquainted with technological processes and plans for the future, and talked with employees.
By the end of the year, the largest nonwoven materials production facilities in Central Asia - spunbond and meltblown - are expected to be launched here. Such materials are widely used in medicine, construction, household chemicals and agriculture.
It is expected that after all projects reach full capacity, the number of jobs will reach 10 thousand, and polymer processing capacity will increase to 280 thousand tons.
The head of our state also held a dialogue with foreign investors implementing large projects in the region and offering new initiatives. It was emphasized that any project that contributes to the development of the region’s economy, increasing employment and improving the quality of life of the population will definitely receive government support.
Investors highly appreciated the business and investment climate in our country and expressed gratitude to the President for the wide business opportunities created and constant attention.
