12 января министр иностранных дел Бахтиёр Саидов принял копии верительных грамот Гвидо де Санктиса, вновь назначенного Чрезвычайного и Полномочного Посла Республики Италия в Республике Узбекистан.
В ходе встречи обсуждались текущее состояние и перспективы двустороннего сотрудничества, уделено особое внимание расширению торгово-инвестиционных и экономических связей. Подчеркнута важность дальнейшего развития практического сотрудничества и поощрения контактов между деловыми кругами.
Глава внешнеполитического ведомства пожелал послу успехов в его дипломатической деятельности в нашей стране.
