The Uzbek-Pakistani business forum and the award ceremony for the RCCI International Achievement Awards took place in Tashkent
On the first day, the events took place in Tashkent Uzbek-Pakistani business forum, which was attended by entrepreneurs working in the fields of industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, textiles, logistics, construction, information technology and tourism.
The event was opened by the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the President of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Usman Shavkat and other officials.
Representatives of both sides emphasized the need to further develop economic ties, expand joint projects and strengthen direct cooperation. It was emphasized that Uzbekistan has created an open, modern and favorable environment for investors, and also supports projects within the framework of the regional interaction initiative.
It was noted that there is great potential for cooperation in the fields of agriculture, textile industry, energy, information technology, digitalization, pharmaceuticals, tourism and logistics.
Special attention was paid to the issues of expanding bilateral economic relations and bringing mutual trade turnover to 2 billion US dollars in the near future, as well as joint implementation of projects for the production of import-substituting and export-oriented products.
Meetings of representatives of the business circles of Uzbekistan and Pakistan were also held in “B2B” and "B2G", as a result of which agreements were reached on the implementation of joint production, trade and investment projects.
As a result of the forum, Memoranda of Understanding were signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as between the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Sky Electric company.
In addition, important agreements were reached to create partnerships between the companies Caraway Pharmaceuticals and Perfect Future Medicine, Neutrics Global (Pvt) Ltd and ANT Group, Pak World Trade & Expo Center and BMCA.
These documents will serve to establish long-term strategic cooperation between the business communities of the two countries and further expand economic ties.
As part of the visit of the delegation of Pakistani business circles to Uzbekistan, a solemn ceremony of presenting the “36th RCCI International Achievement Awards” took place in Tashkent.
The event was attended by the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov.
The awards were presented to companies that have achieved significant successes in pharmaceuticals, construction, IT, agriculture, textiles, tourism, export and import. Among the laureates are representatives of both Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
Organized annually by the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the award includes the categories “Entrepreneur of the Year”, “Company of the Year”, “Exporter of the Year”, “Innovation and Technology Award” and others.
