Tashkent Street and Babur Park will appear in Islamabad
The next item on the program of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Pakistan was the ceremony of naming one of the streets of Islamabad the name “Tashkent”, as well as the name of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur to the newly created park.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif emphasized that this decision reflects the close historical and cultural ties of the two countries, and also once again confirms the strategic level of the Uzbek-Pakistan multifaceted partnership.
It was especially noted that Tashkent street and the park named after our great ancestor Zakhiriddin Muhammad Babur will become a clear symbol of the mutual commitment of the parties to further strengthen the bonds of friendship and mutual understanding between peoples.
