Events of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization began in Tianjin
On August 31, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his wife took part in informal events of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, held at the convention center "Meijiang" of the city of Tianjin.
The events were also attended by the Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, the Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, heads of government of Egypt, Cambodia, Nepal, Armenia, as well as Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres.
Upon arrival at the Meijiang Convention Center, the head of our state and his wife were greeted by Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife.
Next, foreign leaders were presented with a colorful concert program dedicated to the Tianjin Summit SCO.
