Uzbek Technological Metals Plant intensifies international cooperation
The Uzbek Technological Metals Plant (TMK) for the first time exported rhenium metal with a purity of 99.9% based on a contract signed with the Estonian company VLCor Baltic OU."
This marks the actual start of exports of this refractory metal from Uzbekistan.
Rhenium is considered an internationally recognized strategic metal used in complex technologies, the aerospace industry and the production of high-temperature superalloys.
Total TMK exports for the first half of 2025 amounted to $21.3 million (an increase of 118%).

An official meeting was held in Tashkent between representatives of the Uzbek Technological Metals Plant (TMK) and the Chinese company PPP (Hong Kong) Ltd.
During the negotiations, TMK representatives informed about the current activities of the enterprise and promising investment projects, emphasizing the wide opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.
Particular attention was paid to the investment climate in Uzbekistan and the initiative to create a joint venture in the field of processing critical types of raw materials.
In turn, representatives of PPP (Hong Kong) Ltd. noted that the company has advanced technologies for processing chromium, nickel and cobalt, as well as experience in the production of high-purity products based on them. Interest was expressed in cooperation on organizing the production of pure chromium in Uzbekistan using domestic chromium-containing raw materials.
PPP (Hong Kong) Ltd. is an international company registered in Hong Kong specializing in strategic metals including chromium, nickel and cobalt. The geography of activity covers the markets of China, the UAE, South Africa, India, Egypt and Kazakhstan.

Uzbek Technological Metals Plant JSC and the leading Chinese engineering company China Aluminum International Engineering Co., Ltd. (Chalieco) signed strategically important agreements.
In particular, an agreement was concluded for the modernization of the tungsten hydrometallurgy workshop, and a memorandum of cooperation in the implementation of advanced technological solutions was signed.
Chalieco is a subsidiary of one of the largest state-owned corporations in China - Aluminum Corporation of China (Chinalco). Founded in 2003, the company provides services in EPC format, develops innovative technologies and produces high-tech equipment.
