The National Leader of Turkmenistan warmly congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on his birthday, wishing him good health, well-being, and continued success, as well as peace and prosperity for the fraternal people of Uzbekistan.
He also conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov particularly emphasized that, thanks to the tireless efforts and far-sighted policy of the President of Uzbekistan, the country is reaching new heights and achieving significant progress across the socio-economic and political spheres.
The two leaders also discussed current issues related to further strengthening the Uzbek-Turkmen relations of friendship, good-neighbourliness, and strategic partnership, with a focus on the practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.
They noted with satisfaction the growing momentum of multifaceted cooperation, based on the principles of mutual trust and shared interests.
The leaders welcomed the continuation of active contacts at all levels and highly praised the productive outcomes of the recent political consultations held in Ashgabat.
Steady growth in bilateral trade and cargo transportation was noted. The effective operation of the "Shavat-Dashoguz" trade zone also contributes to the increase in mutual trade.
The leaders also noted the successful implementation of cooperation projects in the energy, industry, agriculture, water management, and transport sectors and emphasized the importance of further expanding inter-parliamentary, interregional, business, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
Particular attention was given to coordinating and advancing the regional agenda, including preparations for the next Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, to be held in Avaza this autumn.
