Technical Colleges in Six Regions of Uzbekistan Receive New Equipment from Pakistan

The Embassy of Uzbekistan has provided non-repayable grant assistance to six technical education institutions in the country to strengthen their material and technical capacity.

The assistance will be provided to Nukus Technical College, Technical Colleges No. 1 and No. 2 in Gurlen district, Technical College No. 1 in Jizzakh city, Technical College No. 1 in Kattakurgan city and Technical College No. 1 in Dangara district.

The project was implemented in accordance with the tasks outlined at a meeting chaired by the President of Uzbekistan on the activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic missions abroad, including the development of technical colleges assigned to the embassies and provision of practical support to them.

Under the grant, each of the six institutions received sets of tools and specialized equipment for electrical installation and welding work. Each set includes 14 types of essential equipment and tools.

The new equipment will enable students to combine theoretical knowledge with practical training, strengthen their professional skills and expand opportunities for training specialists who meet the requirements of the modern labor market.

The meetings with the college heads also addressed the effective use of the equipment and its targeted integration into the educational process, as well as improving the quality of training in electrical installation and welding.

Following the meetings, agreements were reached on the targeted use of the equipment provided and the establishment of practical innovative training centers at the vocational colleges.

The college directors expressed their gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan for the practical assistance provided on a non-repayable basis.
