A meeting took place between the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan
At the Kuksaroy residence, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who arrived in our country for participation in the seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
The leaders discussed current issues of further expansion of Uzbek-Tajik relations of friendship, good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance.
Particular attention was paid to taking coordinated measures to increase mutual trade, promoting cooperation projects in industry, energy, the agricultural sector and other priority areas.
The importance of continuing active cultural and humanitarian exchange and productive interregional contacts was emphasized.
Views were also exchanged on strengthening regional cooperation in Central Asia.
