On July 14, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a meeting with Eugenio Giani, Governor of the Tuscany Region of Italy.
Eugenio Giani noted that his visit to the cities of Samarkand and Bukhara had provided an opportunity to gain first-hand insight into Uzbekistan’s economic potential and rich cultural heritage.
During the meeting, the sides held a comprehensive exchange of views on expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and the Tuscany Region in the areas of trade, investment, and cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The significant potential for cooperation in textiles, healthcare, agriculture, the jewelry industry, education, culture, and tourism was highlighted.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides agreed to undertake joint efforts to further strengthen cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and the Tuscany Region.
