The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon signed a Joint Statement on Deepening Strategic Partnership and Allied Relations.
Additionally, a set of documents was signed at the government, ministry, and agency levels, outlining plans for expanding multifaceted cooperation. Among them:
– Program to increase trade turnover;
– Industrial Cooperation Program;
– Agreement on the mutual use of electronic systems for certification of the origin of goods;
– Cooperation Agreement in the healthcare sector;
– Agreement on coordination of radio frequency assignments in border areas;
– Protocol on introducing amendments to the intergovernmental Agreement on the establishment of the Uzbekistan – Tajikistan Investment Company;
– Cooperation Agreement in the use of the “E-Permit” information system;
– Agreement on scientific cooperation between the academies of sciences;
– Plan for the implementation of measures in industry and innovation for 2026-2028;
– Plan for the implementation of measures in mining and new technologies for 2026-2028;
– Action plan for cooperation in culture for 2026-2027;
– Roadmap for the development of cooperation in tourism for 2026-2028;
– Roadmap for the development of cooperation in the agro-industrial complex for 2026-2028;
– Memorandums of cooperation in innovation, public service, finance, education, and enforcement of judicial decisions.
