President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Coals KS in Nukus and reviewed its operations.
The project has a total value of $16.3 million. The enterprise produces aerated concrete blocks and lime. A 4.8-hectare site in the Nukus Free Economic Zone has been allocated for the production of aerated concrete blocks, while the lime production facilities are located on a 4.8-hectare site in Karaozyak district.
The enterprise has an annual production capacity of 300,000 cubic meters of aerated concrete blocks and 165,000 tons of lime. In addition to supplying the domestic market with modern building materials, the enterprise plans to export its products to Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
Local resources account for 96 percent of the raw materials used in production. In particular, quartz sand, cement, and gypsum are supplied by domestic enterprises. This helps reduce production costs and ensure stable supplies.
The aerated concrete blocks produced by the enterprise are lightweight and offer high levels of thermal and sound insulation. They are three to four times lighter than traditional bricks, helping to reduce construction costs.
The enterprise currently employs 200 local residents. To date, it has implemented five major projects with a combined value of $200 million. Construction is underway on four new projects worth a total of $40 million.
The Head of State toured the production facilities, viewed the products manufactured at the enterprise, and was briefed on its future plans. He also spoke with employees.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of maintaining high product quality while reducing costs, increasing production, expanding export opportunities, and regularly upgrading employees’ skills. He issued relevant recommendations and instructions to the enterprise management and responsible officials.
