The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia discussed topical issues on the bilateral and international agenda by phone
On August 8, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The President of Russia reported on the main results of negotiations with the special envoy of the US President Steven Witkoff, held on August 6 in Moscow.
Practical aspects of the further development and strengthening of the Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance in context of the implementation of agreements at the highest level.
Particular attention is paid to taking coordinated measures aimed at ensuring the dynamics of growth in mutual trade turnover and investment, accelerating cooperation projects in priority sectors of the economy, continuing productive contacts, business and humanitarian exchanges at the regional level.
The leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia also reviewed the schedule of upcoming meetings and events.
