The Presidents of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda
During a telephone conversation on February 21, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin discussed topical issues of further development and strengthening Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance.
The results of the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of Russia to Uzbekistan in May last year were reviewed in accordance with the road map approved by the leaders.
Fruitful contacts and exchanges were highly appreciated, actively taking place at different levels. Particular attention was paid to ensuring the growth dynamics of the main indicators of trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as supporting industrial cooperation projects in the regions of the two countries.
The expanding humanitarian interaction was noted with great satisfaction, primarily in the field of culture, art, science, education, including the training of engineers, in the field of healthcare and sports.
The leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia also exchanged opinions on issues on the international agenda and discussed the schedule of upcoming events.
