We are pleased to note the high level of interaction achieved in recent years with this global financial institution, primarily in supporting and promoting priority programs and projects within the framework of socio-economic reforms.
Our country is one of the Bank’s largest partners in Europe and Central Asia. The portfolio of joint projects exceeded $14 billion. A regional office of the World Bank has been opened in Tashkent. The results of the recently held III International Forum “From Poverty to Prosperity” in the city of Namangan were highly appreciated.
The head of our state noted the importance of focusing the current Partnership Program on ensuring sustainable growth, accelerated, high-quality and effective implementation of projects.
Areas such as fighting poverty, creating jobs for women and youth, and comprehensive development of regions according to a new model were identified as priorities “Exemplary Mahalla”, rural infrastructure, expanding support for private sector projects, expert assistance in matters of privatization of state assets, implementation of the strategy for decarbonization of the economy and transformation of the financial sector.
The importance of the Bank’s participation in promoting strategic infrastructure projects in the Central Asia region was emphasized.
