The President of Uzbekistan spoke in favor of expanding practical partnership with Vietnam
On April 7, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the delegation of Vietnam led by the Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, who arrived in our country on official visit.
At the beginning of the conversation, the head of the Vietnamese delegation conveyed to the leader of Uzbekistan sincere greetings from the General Secretary of the Communist Party of the country To Lam, President Luong Cuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Tinh.
Issues of further development of the Uzbek-Vietnamese cooperation multifaceted relations, primarily in the trade, economic and investment spheres.
The need to make intergovernmental and interdepartmental contacts systemic was noted. The importance of a productive meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and Business Forum this year
in the city of Hanoi was emphasized.
To promote new projects, an agreement was reached on the preparation of a comprehensive program of industrial cooperation in such areas as energy, geology, petrochemicals, electrical engineering, textiles, agriculture and other industries.
Particular attention was paid to the development of cultural and tourist exchanges, including through the establishment of a visa-free regime.
It was agreed to intensify inter-parliamentary dialogue to ensure the practical implementation of joint initiatives.
