The President of Uzbekistan met with compatriots and fellows of the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation
At the end of his working visit to the United States, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, according to the established good tradition, met with compatriots working and living in this country, as well as fellows of the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation studying at leading American universities.
During a sincere conversation held in an informal setting, issues related to the implementation of reforms in New Uzbekistan, in particular the contribution of compatriots and diaspora organizations to their active promotion, were discussed.
At the meeting The “International Business Marathon of Compatriots” was launched, aimed at creating a platform for dialogue between youth and successful entrepreneurs from among compatriots.
Participants expressed their proposals for expanding and strengthening trade, economic, investment, scientific and educational ties between Uzbekistan and the United States, introducing advanced American technologies into priority sectors of the national economy, promoting innovation in the field of medicine, transport and logistics, as well as the development of marketplaces in our country.
Expressing gratitude to his compatriots for their contribution to the development of the Motherland, the head of our state emphasized that all voiced proposals and initiatives will be carefully studied by the ministries and departments of the country, and the most promising will find practical implementation.
The President of Uzbekistan paid special attention “El-Yurt Umidi” fellows, whose number in the USA already exceeds 500 people. He emphasized that supporting talented youth and creating opportunities to apply their knowledge and experience in the country are one of the key priorities of national policy.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev wished success in studies and further professional activities to the students, noting that the state is always open to youth initiatives and is ready to provide them with all the necessary support.
In turn, the meeting participants expressed gratitude to the leader of Uzbekistan for his attention to the diaspora and the younger generation, the created conditions and opportunities for unlocking the potential of youth, and also assured their willingness to make an even greater contribution to the prosperity of our Motherland.
